I’m a singer/songwriter in the Milwaukee area & was intrigued by this web site. Good job! Any chance for future sound bites to be included on this site? I’m not shy, so I’ll leave this in my message: I have written over 200 songs for guitar & piano = words, chords, sheet music on some. Do you ever need songs or material or know of someone who does? Would you like to hear some? Please let me know. Pete

Whoa! Mer..way cool website! It sounds like you’re doing great, lots of gigs & stuff.
Would love to hear back from you; are you coming to D.C. anytime?
I still have my business but I’m basically yust consulting there as I’m also running the sign facility here at George Mason University. Not much playing these days for me except for myself, mostly on my 12-string; “Frenchtown” is still my favorite song to play & sing.
Is it true that you’re married now?
I think fondly of days past & look forward to hearing from you.

    Reg

  32. Nikki Steinbrook Says:

    Hey Marianne!
It’s been so long you probably don’t even remember me! I met up with you in Nashville along with Mike Steinbrook and some other singer/songwriters back in the spring of’97.
I’ve been wondering how you’ve been and where your music has taken you. When I met you, I was 18 and MARRIED! Now, I’m not and I’m slowly pursuing my music career! I’ve just been singin’ locally with a few established musicans and trying to start writing some of my own songs. I don’t have much knowledge in songwriting, so right now I just have outlined ideas. What I would really love to do is get a band started. But I don’t know where to start! Have any ideas for me?

You’re still the best female blues singer I’ve ever come across…..

  45. Chris Malin Says:

    Hi Sweetheart!

Weather’s finally getting better here. Horrible Wisconsin winter! Let me know when your new CD is available. I’m building a telecaster style guitar, body is made from 130 year old pine! Bought a set of pickups from a guy in Portland (Dave Stephens). He makes them from scratch! working on the body right now. Hope to have it done soon. Miss you a bunch…..

  46. Eric Fish Says:

Just heard your tracks on myspace. The orchestration on the Venetian Dreams tracks is so interesting. And the mastering is great, too. That the compositions are so great is no surprise. You always were so incredibly talented. But when you get to make such great use of the studio, you really shine. I know you’re still mostly performing solo. But wouldn’t you love it if someone would foot the bill for you to have marimbas, drums, a couble singers, and the rest onstage with you? PBS would be lucky to have you on a jazz or acoustic special!

  47. Mary Says:

    Hi Mernie,
I can’t believe I never thought to Google you before, and it’s really only you that comes up! I thought I would tell the Everhards to Google you in case they thought you had turned into some dangerous sort (it’s the company you keep ya know!) Anyway, I really miss you - that seems to be the theme of so many of your messages!

  48. maggie council Says:
